New information in the case of starving 3.5-year-old Helenka. Her grandfather has broken his silence

The story of 3.5-year-old Helenka, who is fighting for her life in a hospital in Zielona Góra, touches the hearts of many people.

The girl arrived there extremely starved, which is the result of her parents' tragic decisions. Her grandfather decided to break his silence and revealed the shocking conditions in which the little girl had to survive.

The prosecutor's office confirmed that Helenka's parents fed her mainly grapes and milk, which is absolutely insufficient for the proper development of a child. Additionally, the girl's mother is a vegan, which may be the reason for the lack of the right amount of nutrients in the child's diet.

More findings by the prosecutor's office

Helenka has not had several mandatory vaccinations, which puts her parents in an even worse light in the eyes of the doctors. The doctors' diagnosis confirms not only the girl's intellectual and developmental delays, but also extreme starvation.

The girl weighs only 8 kilograms, while her normal weight should be at least 10 kilograms more. Doctors in the intensive care unit are conducting intensive therapy, gradually feeding the child. Every day is a huge challenge for her.

Grandpa's shocking confessions

Journalists reached Helenka's grandfather, whose words are shocking.

They waited a long time for Helenka. No one believed that they would have a child. […] It was all out of love – he said. He tells how his daughter-in-law Magda devoted herself to the girl, peeling grapes for hours. The grandfather emphasizes that the family lives healthily and honestly, and Helenka was their whole world. „If Helenka is taken away from them, they will do something to themselves” – he adds, fueling the drama of the events.

Magda peeled those grapes for hours, do you know how long it takes to peel them? Helenka was still only drinking her mother's milk, but I told Magda: “What's your milk worth? You can't even feed a cat.” She just shook her head in disbelief — Rafał B.'s father explained.

According to the neighbors' testimonies, the girl was seen outside the house extremely rarely and only in a stroller, lying down.
