New hypotheses on the collapse of the tenement house. It was determined that family problems could have played a role

On the night from Saturday to Sunday, a tragic disaster took place in Cieszyn, when a tenement house on Głęboka Street caught fire, which led to the collapse of one of the building's walls.

The rescue operation ended on Monday, and the bodies of two people were found at the scene. Unfortunately, their identity has not yet been established.

The effects of the fire and the evacuation of residents

As a result of the incident, three people suffered minor injuries and were released from the hospital after receiving medical assistance. A total of 21 residents were evacuated from the building, who found shelter with their families and in the Youth Hostel on Błogocka Street. The head of the State Fire Service, Senior Brigadier.

Mariusz Feltynowski, reported that the rescue operation was complicated, and the first injured people were located after 9 p.m. and 11:10 p.m.

A tragic explosion occurred in Cieszyn, the cause of which was most likely a gas failure. The incident took place in an apartment on the second floor of the building, where 46-year-old Bogumił M. lived with his family. At the time of the explosion, his family was not at home.

Family situation and hypotheses

According to “Fakt” reports, Bogumił M.'s family struggled with conflicts. Unofficial sources indicate a possible divorce, to which the man may not have agreed. This state of affairs raises questions as to whether he could have contributed to this tragedy. The prosecutor's office is investigating both the possibility of an accident and a deliberate act.

The spokesman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Bielsko-Biała, Paweł Nikiel, emphasized that the current state of knowledge is based on hypotheses. It is worth adding that the apartment on the first floor, where the 78-year-old lived, recently completed renovation of the installation, which may rule out that the explosion took place there.

The case is ongoing, and local authorities are conducting an investigation to determine the causes of the tragedy.
