Season 2 of Mercredi eagerly awaited by fans

It must be said that lately, Tim Burton has been all about Beetlejuice Beetlejuicewhich has been in theaters since September 11. The filmmaker also found his favorite actress Jenna Ortega there. At the same time, the filming of season 2 of the series Wednesday broadcast on Netflix is underway. Unsurprisingly, given the success of the spin-off of The Addams Family, the streaming platform has renewed the show for a new season. Except that it is making fans wait. For now no release date has been announced by the American streaming giant.

Tim Burton directing episodes of season 2 of Wednesday?

Indeed, the journalist asked him if, for this new season of Wednesday, Tim Burton would be involved as a director. As a reminder, during the first season of the series, the filmmaker was behind the camera for the first four episodes. So, for season 2, the director of Edward Scissorhands will do the same, as Gough states:

He does four. He does half the season as he did in season 1.

A revelation that will surely please all the director's aficionados. On the other hand, impossible to know if he will operate in the same way, namely to realize the first part of season 2.

Al Gough goes on to say that it's a real blessing to have Burton so involved in this series. The director puts as much care and motivation into season 2 of Wednesday as he did into the sequel to Beetlejuice. Gough adds that Burton's other motivation for investing in this project is the creative connection that exists between him and his lead actress:

He loves the show, and he loves making it and loves working with Jenna, and it's great (…) I think when he loves something … that's it, he's not cynical at all. And I think that's the other reason Beetlejuice worked (…) he didn't do it for any other reason than wanting to make this movie.

Right now, filming is halfway done and we know that this season 2 of Wednesday will offer more action and horror.
