More than 2,000 members of Hezbollah were injured after simultaneous explosions of their pagers

At least eight people were killed and more than 2,000 others, including Hezbollah fighters, medics and Iran's representative in Beirut, were wounded on Tuesday when the pagers they used to communicate exploded across Lebanon.

This is reported by Reuters citing a source in the organization.

Lebanon's state news agency reports that, among other things, explosions were heard in the southern district of the capital Beirut, which is considered a stronghold of Hezbollah, as well as in several other regions of the country.
