More than 200 Galaxy S24 Ultra phones will stream live Olympic video

The Galaxy S24 Ultra is a real beast of a phone, and now it will take its rightful place: up there on Mount Olympus. Okay, it's not good enough to serve Zeus and the rest.

But it's certainly powerful enough to be part of the July-August 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris . This is reported by PhoneArena.

The company Samsung, as global partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, announced a partnership with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Olympic Broadcast Services (OBS) to transform the broadcast experience of the 2024 Paris Games.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will used in the most interesting way: thanks to the flagship, spectators and fans will be able to enjoy footage of the historic opening ceremony on the Seine River and the sailing events of the Olympic Games.

For the first time, the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games will take place outside the stadium. At Paris 2024, 10,500 athletes will sail down the Seine River in boats, representing each national delegation, in what is set to be the most open and accessible opening ceremony in history. The parade will start from the Austerlitz bridge and will take a six-kilometer route through the center of Paris.

To bring the fans closer to the event and capture the reactions of the athletes during this unique journey, Samsung will install more than 200 Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphones on the nose and aboard each of the 85 athlete ships.

High-quality HDR videos will be broadcast via a private 5G network from Orange, the official mobile operator of the Paris 2024 Olympics. Orange will install more than a dozen 5G antennas along the Seine, creating France's first-ever stand-alone 5G network, providing seamless viewing for fans around the world.

The same technology will be used at the sailing event in Marseille, where smartphones The Galaxy S24 Ultra will be installed on every competitive boat. This will allow fans to watch the race with their favorite Olympians, ensuring the full effect of presence.
