The miniature poodle became the winner of the prestigious dog show in New York

About 2,500 dogs from more than 200 breeds took part in the competition

A three-year-old toy poodle named Sage from Texas was the winner 148 The 1st annual Westminster Kennel Club show, which was held in New York, is broadcast by “The Voice of America.”

A dog with an extravagant haircut defeated difficult opponents, including a majestic German shepherd and a silky Afghan hound and a proud giant schnauzer.

About 2,500 dogs from more than 200 breeds took part in the competition, which were eventually divided into seven groups. In the final, champion dogs from each group competed with each other for the main prize.

This is the eleventh time in the history of the exhibition when a poodle became the winner.
