Microsoft admitted that Google makes money on the Windows operating system thanks to Chrome

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella admitted in the YouTube podcast Bg2 Pod that it is not the company's regular browser that is the most popular among Windows users, but Google Chrome. Nadella emphasized that the appearance of the Chrome browser dealt Microsoft the most serious blow.

Previously, the most popular Windows browser was Internet Explorer, but then a serious failure occurred: in the 90s, Microsoft defeated the developers of the Netscape browser, and then lost to Google. Now Google earns much more on Windows than Microsoft. Nadella noted that this is paradoxical, but it is true.

In addition, Google was able to ensure the leadership of Chrome due to «smart» search. By collecting various data, Google can provide the most relevant search results.
