Mickey 17: The poster for Bong Joon-ho's film with Robert Pattinson causes confusion

Mickey 17 is one of those eight big movies originally scheduled for 2024, before its release date was pushed back to January 31, 2025. Directed by by Bong Joon-ho, this mysterious project with Robert Pattinson in the lead role has just been revealed through a poster… Which doesn't tell us much more about the content and tone of the story!

The psychedelic poster for Mickey 17 doesn't help us see more clearly

For about ten years and the conclusion of the Twilight franchise, Robert Pattinson has never ceased to surprise us with bold career choices. From Christopher Nolan's Tenet to James Gray's The Lost City of Z, Robert Eggers' Lighthouse and Matt Reeves' recent Batman, the 38-year-old British actor is not afraid of anything. He, who was once labeled a bland twink, has built up a captivating filmography. And Mickey 17 from South Korean director Bong Joon Ho, whose Parasite has (already) entered the legend of the Seventh Art, will soon come to enrich this panel. The plot of this science fiction film is intriguing to say the least: “For Mickey, dying is a habit. Because he is a consumable, volunteered to test the dangers to which humanity is subjected.In case of death, he is regenerated with most of his memories. But what would happen if Mickey 17 survived Mickey 18 ?“.

A film whose trailer did not allow us to know whether it would be a satirical comedy, or a serious drama. As for the poster, it does not help either! Recently unveiled, the poster that you can see above has a psychedelic vibe. On a yellow background, a Robert Pattinson, with his silly air, doubles himself 16 times (he is therefore the famous Mickey 17 who gives his title to the film) and stares at the viewer.
