Marvel: Tony Stark returns in a Disney+ series dedicated to Iron Man

Fans of Tony Stark aka Iron Man will be delighted to learn that Marvel continues to have plans for the character played on the big screen by Robert Downey Jr. Indeed, a new series dedicated to this Avengers will soon be released on Disney+ but be careful, it is not in the form you imagine.

An Iron Man series without Robert Downey Jr.

It's been a few weeks since we learned that Robert Downey Jr. would indeed be making his return to the MCU. But the one who was awarded an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his participation in Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer film will not return as Tony Stark/Iron Man. Indeed, the actor will now be Doctor Victor von Fatalis, the enemy of the Fantastic Four.

However, the public will be able to see Iron Man again on the small screen with a new series that has been announced by Disney+. In this project, Tony Stark will be back and will team up with Riri Williams/Ironheart and Amadeus Cho/Iron Hulk. They will have to play vigilantes to save and protect the city from villains such as Vision and Gamma. Of course, for this series, Robert Downey Jr. will not be part of it and fans of the character may be disappointed to learn that it is actually an animated series aimed at young audiences. Indeed, the series titled Iron Man and His Awesome Friends is scheduled to be broadcast on Disney+ and on the Disney Junior channel in the summer of 2025 in the United States. It remains to be seen when it will be available in France.

Côté voice casting, it is Mason Blomberg (Shameless) who will voice Tony Stark. He will be accompanied by Kapri Ladd (Danger Force) and Aidyn Ahn (Kids Say the Darndest Things). They will play Riri Williams and Amadeus Cho respectively. As for Vision, it is David Kaye (Transformers) who will lend him his voice and Fred Tatasciore (Moon Girl and Devil the Dinosaur) who will dub Gamma. Note that John Stamos, who played the adult Iron Man in Spidey and his extraordinary friends, could intervene in this series because other characters and official voices have been announced.
