Marvel: Robert Downey Jr.'s return, a source of concern for Tom Holland

As you know since this summer, Robert Downey Jr. will officially make his big return to the MCU in the role of Doctor Doom, a famous antagonist of the Fantastic Four. A secret that some actors, including Tom Holland, already knew before it was revealed to the general public… And which was, for the actor who plays Spider-Man, a real source of concern.

Tom Holland, or Mister Spoilers, was not very comfortable

Tom Holland, in just a few years, has built a solid reputation as an actor with a very loose tongue. The 28-year-old, heir to the Spider-Man costume previously worn by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, has no equal when it comes to spoiling the films he stars in. A flaw that Joe Russo, one of the two directors of Avengers Endgame, did not fail to make fun of in a hilarious video, and which also greatly amuses Marvel fans. Knowing that he is clumsy, every secret that is confided to him is a source of worry for the actor. Needless to say, when he learned that Robert Downey Jr. would return as Fatalis, he was really scared to let the information slip in an interview!

I talk to [Robert Downey Jr.] a lot, especially about his return [to Marvel], which is very exciting. It was a difficult secret to keep because I have a reputation for ruining everything, so strategically, I didn't do a press conference.

These confidences from Tom Holland on the Rich Roll podcast give us a big clue about the future: if the actor avoids interviews at all costs, it's because Kevin Feige is getting ready to make a big announcement that he already knows about! And to avoid having to watch his tongue, the actor has embarked on this unexpected project, revealed this week on his social networks.
