Man lost 82 thousand hryvnias buying a car online

A 66-year-old resident of Chortkiv district decided to buy a vehicle. However, the seller turned out to be an ordinary scammer who received an advance payment and disappeared. Remember that buying a car online is a big risk.

The police found out that the victim found an ad for the sale of a car on a popular trading platform at an acceptable price. When he contacted the seller, the latter said that a deposit was required. The man agreed and transferred more than 82,000 hryvnias in several payments. He never received the desired car, and the stranger stopped answering his calls.

Currently, law enforcement officers are taking the necessary measures to identify the fraudster. Police investigators have initiated criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine on the fact of fraud.
