Lenovo to release budget portable console Legion Go S

According to the latest information published by thematic news resource Videocardz with reference to fresh firmware from Lenovo, a new portable game console called Lenovo Legion Go S is being prepared for release. Although the console itself has not yet been officially presented, the firmware for the device has already become available, and its size is slightly more than 11 MB.

What else is known about the new product

The new portable console, the full name of which is Lenovo Legion Go S 8ARP1, will be equipped with an AMD Ryzen Z2G processor with Zen 3+ architecture, as well as an integrated Radeon 680M graphics core based on the RDNA 2 architecture. The graphics contain 12 computing units , which promises quite high performance considering the compact size of the new device.

According to the source, Lenovo Legion Go S will be a simplified and more affordable version of the popular Legion Go model. Although the exact price is still unknown, experts speculate that it could be around $400, considering that the standard version of the Legion Go retails for around $472.

The official premiere of Lenovo Legion Go S is expected at the CES 2025 exhibition, which will be held in January next year.
