Law enforcement officers caught 2 groups of saboteurs: they set fire to Ukrposhta buildings and electrical substations

The Security Service of Ukraine together with the National Police exposed five accomplices of Russian special services who were operating in the Kirovohrad and Vinnytsia regions.

On the orders of Russian curators, the saboteurs used flammable mixtures created according to the instructions of the occupiers to damage infrastructure objects.

The attackers were counting on a monetary reward for completing these tasks. However, their plans were thwarted by Ukrainian law enforcement officers.

Two suspects were detained in the Kirovohrad region: a former assistant driver of a branch of Ukrzaliznytsia and his cohabitant.

They managed to set fire to a locomotive, regional power substations, and relay cabinets.

At the time of their detention, the attackers were preparing for another act of sabotage — planned to derail a train and set fire to a city private post office.

Three local college students, aged 15 to 16, were caught in Vinnytsia region.

On the orders of Russian special services, the young men set fire to a regional Ukrposhta branch and damaged a relay cabinet on a strategic railway line.

According to the SBU, the Russians planned to involve minors in more serious crimes, including bombings near state institutions in other regions of Ukraine.
