Lakiychuk commented on the improvement of Ukrainian means of destruction

Ukraine plans to produce 30 thousand long-range drones this year. Domestic enterprises also set a goal to produce about 3 thousand missiles. In order for missile and drone strikes on enemy targets to be accurate and effective, it is necessary to improve means of destruction. Therefore, Ukraine is on the right track. This was stated by the head of military security programs of the Center for Global Studies “Strategy XXI” Pavlo Lakiychuk on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.

“In order for missile-drone strikes on enemy targets to be accurate and effective, it is necessary to improve the means of destruction, which is what is happening here. Previously, we talked about drones and missiles separately, then we had the terms jet drone, missile-drone. We had a jet engine, and in fact drones are moving into the category of missiles”, — Lakiychuk noted.

Also, according to him, Ukrainian manufacturers are improving guidance systems.

“In fact, the unmanned aerial component in our country is developing quite predictably — as technologies accumulate, as they are improved. The more technological the means of destruction, the more expensive they will be, but the more damage they will cause to the enemy”, — said the speaker.

The fact that Ukraine already has industrial production of such weapons is a big plus, the expert is sure.

“And here I would like to mention not only a number of manufacturers of unmanned aerial vehicles, primarily long-range drones, but also manufacturers of components for them. One of our jet engine manufacturers gave such a super boost to this process, developing, in my opinion, even a whole line of small-format turbojet engines in partnership with some Eastern European countries. These are engines for cruise missiles, which are now called missile drones,” Lakiychuk noted.
