British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak admitted that the Conservative Party lost in the early parliamentary elections held on July 4.
The Prime Minister announced this this morning, July 5, writes CNN , BBC.
During his short speech after the results were announced, Rishi Sunak said that the Labor Party had won the election.
The British prime minister called Keir Starmer to congratulate him on his victory. He also added that he takes responsibility for the loss of the Conservative Party.
– I now head to London where I will tell you more about today's result before leaving the post of Prime Minister to which I have given my all. There is a lot to learn and a lot to think about. And I take responsibility for our loss– Sunak said.
This afternoon, July 5, after an audience with the king, Keir Starmer will take over as Prime Minister of Great Britain.
