Korean startup Peach demonstrated its development of the Papidrone-800 at KADEX 2024.
As reports Defense Express, this drone looks simpler and potentially cheaper than the Australian Sypaq Corvo PPDS cardboard UAVs sold to Ukraine.
Papidrone-800 is made according to the "flying wing" scheme. The UAV is designed for a maximum speed of up to 100 km/h, a flight range of up to 50 km or 20 minutes of flight, and has a communication system with a range of up to 20 km.
It is reported that the cardboard drone can conduct reconnaissance, and its the design allows it to carry a warhead.
200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000The total take-off weight is only 1 kg. That is, the warhead can hardly weigh more than 0.5 kg (which is the weight of a hand grenade).
Despite the cardboard body, the Papidrone-800 has protection at the IPX3 level and can fly in the rain.
This model — not the only Peach development. The startup is also working on the larger Papidrone-1800, the parameters of which have not been disclosed.
Previously, the Australian company Sypaq sold hundreds of UAVs to Ukraine. Sypaq's logistics combat aircraft is called the Corvo Precision Payload Delivery System (PPDS) and can be used for a variety of purposes, such as deploying sensor payloads, the ability to deliver small cargo such as rations, act as an advanced on-board communications relay, and act as decoys.
