Khmelnytskyi resident spread posts in support of Russia – what the court decided

A man accused of collaborationist activities was tried in Khmelnytskyi. In addition, the accused justified the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

This was reported by the press service of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Details of the case

A 29-year-old local resident massively distributed propaganda on the Internet in support of the occupiers after the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. The man justified the crimes of the Russians. To do this, he used one of the social networks banned in Ukraine.

Court decision

The court found a 29-year-old resident of Khmelnytsky guilty of collaborationist activities and justifying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison with confiscation of all property, except for his home.
