Journalist Evan Hershkovich published his first investigation after being released from Russian captivity

American journalist Evan Hershkovich published an investigation about the counterintelligence department of the FSB after his release from a Russian prison. He told about the head of the department, Dmytro Minayev, who organized his arrest and exchange.

American journalist Evan Hershkovich, who was sentenced to 16 years in prison in Russia for espionage and then released as a result of an exchange, published his first investigation after returning to the United States, writes UNN with reference to BBC.

Details 

The investigation is dedicated to the department of counterintelligence operations of the FSB, which is behind the case of Hershkovich and other persons involved in espionage cases in the Russian Federation.

This unit also prepares the exchange of foreigners for Russians convicted in the West.

One of the heroes of the investigation is the head of the counterintelligence operations department of the FSB Dmytro Minayev, whom the journalist met on the plane on which he was flying from Russia after 16 months behind bars.

According to information, it was Minaev who managed both the arrest and the subsequent exchange of the journalist.
