Joker Folie à Deux: Lady Gaga is in a very bad way because of bad reviews

The sequel to Joker starring Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix, released in early October, was panned by audiences and critics alike. The musical saw the famous singer of the hit Poker Face make her debut as Harley Quinn, and the film's failure was very complicated to live for the pop star…

Lady Gaga in a bad way because of the critics

Unlike the first film, Joker Folie à Deux is a musical comedy. Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga cover many hits, including these Frank Sinatra classics, in front of the camera of Todd Phillips, back to direct. Their two characters, Arthur Fleck and Harley Quinn, begin a romance on screen that is as whimsical as it is violentin the corridors of Arkham State Hospital. After the success of A Star Is Born and House of Gucci, Stefani Germanotta was far from imagining that her first steps in the dark and disenchanted universe of DC Comics would end in such a failure. Sources close to the American singer confided to our colleagues at the DailyMail that Lady Gaga suffers greatly from the harsh criticism of the film.

She would be surprised that people don't like the film, after the reviews it got before its release.” The pop star clearly thought she could “to get an Oscar nomination thanks to this film, especially after the success of the first one and the Oscar won by Joaquin Phoenix”. Furthermore, she would be incomprehensible about this bad reception, having “put a lot of heart and a lot of respect for DC Comics and its fans.”Remarks whose veracity can hardly be doubted, Lady Gaga being (re)known for her seriousness and rigor in her various artistic projects. Her next goal would be “to get a role in Quentin Tarantino's next film, which will be the director's last. Nobody knows what it will be about, but she wants to audition. She's going to do everything she can to get a meeting with him once the script comes out, it's definitely on her bucket list.”

We wish her well!
