Jerzy Owsiak shared the 10-year-old's touching gesture on social media.

As the „Goniec” portal reminds us, although two weeks have passed since the finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, Jerzy Owsiak was able to convey a very important message. He decided to share what his 10-year-old neighbor did for the foundation. Her gesture touched many people.

This year's WOŚP finale took place in the shadow of the games Jerzy Owsiak faced, as well as materials that were intended to put the foundation in a bad light. Although the situation was difficult, Jurek Owsiak did not give up and organized this year's finale with a crowd of people.

The funds from this year's campaign will be allocated to the purchase of equipment for pediatric oncology and hematology departments, oncological surgery and neurosurgery centers, pathology facilities and hospices.

The adversities that Owsiak and his foundation faced only mobilized Poles. On Monday, January 27, Jurek Owsiak announced that the record had been broken. The amount counted at the time was PLN 178,531,625, which meant over PLN 3 million more than the previous year, and this is not the final result yet.

In his latest entry on social media, Jerzy Owsiak revealed that a total of 194,786 auctions were held as part of this year's campaign. One of them was particularly moving, because it was the work of 10-year-old Nina, Jurek Owsiak's neighbor. The girl made a heart with her own hands, which ended up at the auction.

„I receive such gifts from her every year, and previously also from her brother, and I put them up for our auctions. This time – oh my – I forgot to do it on the day of the Finale (…) I did it the day after, right after the conference, and the heart, like many other items, I framed myself, giving it a beautiful value. The auction went fantastically fast. It ended with a sum of PLN 3,852– wrote Owsiak.
