Jacek Kurski attacks TVP after New Year's Eve concert. He also recalled how it was “during his presidency”

Jacek Kurski did not spare criticism of TVP and the New Year's Eve concert organized by the station.

Although the New Year's Eve concerts are behind us, the emotions associated with them have not died down. The proverbial two cents to the discussion were added by the former president of TVP, Jacek Kurski. As reported by the “Pudelek” portal, Kurski referred to the viewership results of the New Year's Eve concerts, attacking primarily Polish Television. He referred to the data of the company, which he did not trust during his presidency. Where did this change come from?

New Year's Eve concerts still stir emotions

This year's New Year's Eve concerts were organized by three television stations. In addition to the veterans of this type of event, TVP and Polsat, New Year's Eve was also organized by TV Republika. According to Nielsen Audience Measurement data provided by the “Wirtualne Media” portal, Polsat attracted the largest audience.

New Year's Eve Power of Hits was watched by 3.06 million people. Telewizja Polska came in second with 2.19 million viewers. TV Republika's New Year's Eve concert was watched by 1.33 million viewers.

The former president of TVP, Jacek Kurski, decided to comment on the presented result. He did it via social media. His assessment of the current management of Telewizja Polska was exceptionally harsh and bitter. There was also no shortage of references to his time as president.

Jacek Kurski bitterly about New Year's Eve TVP

“Congratulations to the winner, welcome to the podium for the debutant, but it's worth telling the truth: both of these promotions are the result of — not having precedent in the history of linear television — the decline in viewership and energy of Telewizja Polska in the last dozen or so months” – wrote Kurski on the X portal.

Kurski stated that during his presidency, viewership Sylwester Marzeń with Dw&jką exceeded 6 million. He stated that the three New Year's Eve concerts combined had not achieved such a result. He did not add, however, that he had compared Nilsen's current data with MOR measurements, which he himself conducted. Years ago, he argued that Nilsen's data was underestimated.

One of the Internet users directly called Jacek Kurski's post a “scam” and “generating non-existent viewers “.

What do you think about Jacek Kurski's latest post?
