It became known when the main competitor of Samsung Galaxy S25 will be released

OnePlus 13 will go on sale worldwide in January with IP68/IP69 protection system and new color solutions, including Midnight Ocean.

New Android flagships will be released in 2025. One of them is the OnePlus 13, which has already been launched in China and is expected to be launched worldwide very soon. Android Authority writes about this.

OnePlus has confirmed that the upcoming flagship will be available in all three colorways: Midnight Ocean, Black Eclipse, and Arctic Dawn. This signals the end of the green color scheme that has been the signature color for OnePlus flagships for the past few years. It is not yet clear whether blue will become the signature color.

OnePlus says that the Midnight Ocean color will be the first phone to feature a vegan leather microfiber, which is said to be designed to strike a balance between a luxurious feel and resistance to scratches and scuffs.

OnePlus also confirmed that the OnePlus 13 will receive IP68 and IP69 water and dust protection internationally. This is good news, as some OnePlus phones in the past have skimped on IP ratings as a trade-off between cost and certification process, despite being more than capable of meeting the requirements of such IP ratings.

Apart from the announcement, leaks have suggested that OnePlus may also launch the OnePlus 13R and OnePlus Watch 3 in early 2025. Furthermore, even for the OnePlus 13, leaks say that the base variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage will only be available in the Black Eclipse color variant. If you want the Midnight Ocean or Arctic Dawn colors, you may have to upgrade to the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant.

Samsung has yet to confirm the launch of the Galaxy S25 series, but based on historical trends, the flagship series is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2025.
