Israeli Prime Minister Calls Musk a “Great Friend,” Despite Billionaire's Questionable Gesture

American billionaire Elon Musk found himself at the center of a scandal after his gesture at Donald Trump's presidential parade was perceived as a Nazi salute. However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu defended Musk, saying that the accusations were lies and stressed that the billionaire had always been a great friend of Israel.

He wrote about this on the social network X (Twitter). Elon Musk criticized for his gesture at Trump supporter parade, where he first performed a strange dance, and then raised his right hand, which was perceived by many as a gesture similar to a Nazi salute.

The reaction on the network was not long in coming, and accusations of Nazi propaganda appeared against Musk.

In response, Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, came to Musk's defense, noting that these accusations are “false slander.” He emphasized that Musk has always been on Israel's side, provided support to the country after the terrorist attacks of October 7, 2023, and advocated for Israel's right to defend itself against terrorist attacks. Netanyahu also thanked Musk for his help.

“Elon Musk has been falsely slandered. Elon – is a great friend of Israel. He visited Israel after the October 7 massacre. Since then, he has repeatedly and strongly supported Israel's right to defend itself against terrorists and regimes that seek to destroy the sole Jewish state,” – wrote Netanyahu.

Musk himself did not immediately comment on the scandalous gesture, but later called the criticism a “dirty trick” by his opponents, expressing dissatisfaction with how his action was perceived. At the same time, some Russian channels tried to justify it, claiming that it was the so-called “Bellamy salute” – a gesture associated with the American ritual of allegiance to the flag. However, critics pointed out that Musk's gesture had nothing to do with this ritual.
