The Israeli company Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has introduced an update to the IAI Harop combat drone. The drone is used by the armed forces of several countries, including Israel, India and Azerbaijan, and is designed to hit important targets such as radar stations, command posts, armored vehicles and ships, reports Army Inform.
Harop is capable of staying in the air for up to nine hours, searching for and identifying targets using electro-optical and infrared sensors, and carrying out attacks with high precision. The drone can cover a distance of up to 1000 km, has a warhead weight of 16 kg and an accuracy of destruction with an error of up to 5 meters.
One of the key features of Harop is its homing capability and immunity to GNSS jamming, which makes it extremely effective in difficult weather conditions and at night. It is remotely controlled, which allows the combat mission to be changed as needed.
IAI continues to improve Harop, meeting modern requirements for weapons, including in hybrid and conventional conflicts.
