Israel reveals details of operation to blow up Hezbollah pagers

Two former agents of the Israeli intelligence “Mossad” told about the details of the operation to blow up the pagers and walkie-talkies of the Lebanese group “Hezbollah”, as a result of which a significant number of militants were neutralized.
This is written American edition of CBS News.

The operation started more than ten years ago. Hezbollah bought more than 16,000 walkie-talkies at a “good price” from a shell company. This company was deliberately created by the Israeli intelligence services to sell specially designed equipment to the militants. The Mossad hid the explosive device inside the batteries that work in the walkie-talkies. These are usually worn close to the body on clothing.

“We have an incredible set of opportunities to create foreign companies that cannot be traced in Israel. Shell after shell company affects the supply chain in our favor. We create a make-believe world… We write the script, we directors, we are producers, we are the main actors, and the world — is our stage”, — said one of the former agents.

In 2022, pagers were added to radios. Hezbollah bought the pagers from a Taiwanese company called Gold Apollo. But it was also specially created by the Israeli special services. Pagers also contained explosives. The American company that produces the original Gold Apollo pagers did not know about Mossad's plan.

Pagers had a function — signal the need to urgently read the message. This is exactly the kind of signal provoked by Israeli spies. Then there was an explosion.
