iPhone owners complain that the latest Telegram messenger update is “killing” the battery

Users of “apple” smartphones complain about overheating and rapid battery drain.

iPhone users complain about overheating and rapid battery drain after updating the Telegram mobile client to version 11.5.2. Over the weekend, over 30 complaints appeared on Telegram's App Store page.

The problem affects various iPhone models running iOS 18 (various versions). The messages also indicate that the application has become more active “in the background”. Victims note that the heating problem most often occurs when watching audio and video content.

At the time of writing, there is no solution to the problem, except for force-closing the Telegram application through the multitasking menu. For now, all that remains is to wait for the messenger developers to optimize its operation.
