If you've been on X (formerly Twitter), you've probably seen the trend Kaizen or Inoxtag. This is the title of the 22-year-old YouTube star's documentary about her crazy adventure of climbing Everest. The documentary was previewed on Friday and then posted online on YouTube and the least we can say is that Internet users are not necessarily unanimous about the young man's project.
Inoxtag is the name of this 22-year-old YouTuber who has no less than 8 million subscribers on his channel. He became known thanks to his Fortnite videos and he decided to take on a major challenge: that of climbing and reaching the summit of Mount Everest. To carry out this project, the young man prepared in just one year. All this preparation as well as his ascent were filmed to produce a documentary entitled Kaizen: 1 year to climb Everest.
In addition to an extraordinary adventure, Inoxtag tries to convey a message to those who watch his documentary, namely the desire to surpass oneself but also that his community thinks about going beyond gaming and new technologies.
Thus, it was in more than 500 movie theaters in France, this Friday, September 13, that Inoxtag screened Kaizen in preview and which attracted more than 200,000 people to discover his performance in images. Then, since this Saturday, as he had promised his subscribers, the YouTuber has put the film online for free on his channel. The opportunity for those who did not have the chance to see his documentary at the cinema to discover it from home.
Very quickly, Internet users were quick to share their opinions on Kaizen. Although Many commentators applaud the 2h40 documentary thanks to the exceptional images captured by photographer and mountain guide Mathis Dumas, or for the inspiring message and sincerity of Inoxtag, other Internet users are not on the same wavelength.
Indeed, Kaizen divides viewers on social networks. Some criticize the young man for having indulged in a rich man's whim and that the message and morals conveyed by Inoxtag are just a facade. Finally, as some mountaineering specialists had pointed out at the time of the YouTuber's departure, this project raises the question of ecology with the “commodification of Everest” and mass tourism in this region of the world.
We let you discover a selection of reactions from Internet users below.
Inoxtag's Kaizen film is a masterpiece.

I haven't seen #Kaizen by #inoxtag and I won't watch it.
Seeing a 20-year-old bourgeois who has never done anything in his life, exploiting people and an environment while pretending to be a philosopher is much too BHL-compatible for me.September 14, 2024
2h40 of a shitty egotrip where a rich guy tells you to put down your phone. Too detestable Inoxtag in the serious “documentary”. #Kaizen

Yeah sorry but in this excerpt, @regelegorila is absolutely right in this excerpt. #Kaizen is just a rich guy's delusion who is bored. And the worst part is that afterwards Inoxtag gives us a moral lesson by saying that we have to put down our phones but dude, you're https://t.co/pCjm3VtYJU

#Kaizen #inoxtag who tells us to put down the phone except that if we had never put down his phone he would realize his dream on Everest… result: do what you want and don't listen to people who have too much money. To each his own life. pic.twitter.com/5RwJIUSQS0

Really the 2010 generation you have nothing going for you.
You are the TikTok generation. All that glitters is beautiful without even seeing that behind it is rotten. #Kaizen is a rich trip to tell the poor that one day they will be rich? #inoxtag https://t.co/W3UWn1VLFK

Yes. It is indeed a rich man's delirium. #inoxtag #kaizen pic.twitter.com/KqVamY7fT3

#Kaizen actually, I see this movie more as a vlog of a rich guy who travels with other rich guys. There is a total disregard for ecology. It is a vlog of capitalism to travel sponsors. I pity the other movies that have a supporter to be put in design with that

The image is simply filthy and disastrous. Modern-day slavery to satisfy the whim of a rich man who wants to prove himself. Nice message “Follow your dreams…by exploiting and crushing others” #Kaizen #InoxTag #INOX pic.twitter.com/bdySVg810K

I saw Kaizen and it was crap, it's not a documentary, it's just a poorly edited vlog, it just tells the story of a rich kid's journey who complains with a facade of morality, sorry to be bitter but I really didn't like it, I wasted 2 hours even though the project interested me at the beginning. https://t.co/pc0m7Dgh6k

YouTuber Inoxtag has just released his documentary Kaizen on Everest and has managed the feat in 2 hours 20 minutes of not talking about ecology.
a 50,000 euro trip that once again demonstrates the urgency for the world of YouTube to wake up. https://t.co/8DFH3kMZd6September 14, 2024
