Information was spread on the network that a man had abandoned a child in the capital's metro. Law enforcement officers called it a fake.
As the Kyiv police note, on January 6, a message appeared in Telegram channels that a man had left a stroller with a baby in a metro car and then walked away. Law enforcement officers were allegedly called to the scene.
However, the Kyiv police assured that they had not received any reports of children abandoned or lost in the subway.
“Instead, the content of the distributed message is similar to advertising designed to increase the number of subscribers to individual Telegram channels,” – law enforcement officers noted.
They also appealed to the administrators of such channels with a request not to spread false information.
