In Ukraine, a scheme of extorting money from pensioners under the guise of sales of dietary was exposed

They demanded the pensioners money under the guise of dietary sales.

< p > informs the Prosecutor General's Office.

< p >According to the investigation, residents of Dnipropetrovsk organized in several regions the activities of Colleclanters who were engaged in the extortion of money in the elderly. Among the participants in the criminal organization were minors.

< P > During 2023-2024, the organizers sent pensioners under the guise of parcel with Bio & ndash; supplements that they did not order. After that, they called the victims, represented themselves by public authorities or health care workers, and demanded to pay for the goods at a time inflated by the price.

< p > in case of refusal of the victims to take parcels suspected under the guise of employees of the state executive service called pensioners and threatened the opening of criminal proceedings, a fine that significantly exceeded the value of dietary supplements, confiscation of property or lock of the pension card & the only source of income. In addition, they exercised on the victims psychological pressure until they were transferred money.

< p > The vast majority of victims are elderly people who have been deteriorated < P > According to the results of sanctioned searches in the territory of Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and Kiev regions it was possible to remove hundreds of packaging of dietary supplements, cash in different currency for a total amount and drives, documentation, as well as instructions with an algorithm of actions of participants in a criminal organization.

< P > Dev & Rsquo; Yathokhu participants of the criminal organization were detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine.
