In Poltava region, teenagers beat a peer and posted a video on social media: police are investigating the case

In the city of Horishni Plavni, in Poltava region, a group of teenagers beat their peer. The victim was taken to the hospital, and the police are investigating the case.

As the police officers of Poltava region reported, a local resident contacted them. She stated that a group of people had inflicted bodily harm on her minor son. The incident took place in the basement of a residential building.

The minors filmed the bullying process and posted the video on social media.

It shows the boy surrounded by a group of teenagers who take turns hitting him in the face.

The investigation team identified those involved – they turned out to be local minors. At the same time, the victim is undergoing treatment, police say.

Law enforcement officers have opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – hooliganism committed by a group of persons. The sanction of the article provides for restriction of liberty for a term of up to five years or imprisonment for a term of up to four years.
