In Japan, the smallest Rubik's cube in the world was presented: it can also be folded

The Japanese company MegaHouse presented the smallest model of the Rubik's cube in the world. It's so tiny you might need tweezers to assemble it.

Japanese toy maker MegaHouse has introduced a miniature Rubik's Cube. CNN writes about it.

The MegaHouse company said that work on the concept of this Rubik's cube began four years ago, and production began in 2022. In August of this year, the Guinness Book of World Records recognized this cube as the smallest rotating puzzle cube in the world.

This Rubik's cube is made of aluminum. Each side is 5 mm, and the puzzle weighs just 0.3 g. That's about a thousandth of the original size of the cube, which is about 2.2 inches (5.6 cm) wide.

The cost of the microcube is ¥777,777 (about $5,320). Due to the high price, this toy is more of a collector's item than a daily exercise puzzle. Each copy is sold with a stand with the inscription: “The world's smallest Rubik's cube”. year The model is already available for pre-order, with deliveries starting next April.

The speed-breaking Rubik's Cube competition attracts participants from all over the world. The current world record for assembling a standard 3x3x3 cube belongs to 22-year-old American Max Pak, who in June 2023 assembled it in 3.13 seconds. Second place goes to nine-year-old Wang Yiheng from China, who completed the Rubik's cube in 3.38 seconds.
