The first batch of banknotes with images of King Charles III was issued in Great Britain. Following tradition, the first symbols were taken away by the monarch himself, reports Reuters.

At Buckingham Palace, Bank of England trustee Andrew Bailey and chief cashier Sarah John presented him with banknotes in denominations of 5, 10, 20 and 5 £0 from numbers 01 00001 and series CA, HB, EH and AJ are obvious.

The design of banknotes will be presented in 2022: the collar depicts the politician Winston Churchill, the writing of Jane Austen, the mathematician Alan T. ; painting by the artist Joseph Turner.
