Important news from Szymon Hołownia. The presidential election dates have come to light. Important decisions have been made

In recent days, the Speaker of the Sejm officially confirmed the dates of the first and second round of the upcoming presidential elections in Poland.

It is already known that the vote will take place in May, which is of interest to many Poles. Szymon Hołownia, the leader of the Poland 2050 movement, has been announcing from the beginning that the key dates would be announced at the beginning of the year.

Elections in May? That's out of the question

There was speculation in the media about the dates, including May 4, which falls on the popular May weekend. Hołownia, however, dispelled these doubts, emphasizing that organizing elections at that time would be “absurd and against democracy”. The politician also announced further talks with the chairman of the National Electoral Commission, Sylwester Marciniak, to establish final dates.

The future of the pre-election campaign

In addition to the election dates, the first details about the pre-election campaign were also announced. Szymon Hołownia announces dynamic actions to attract public attention and mobilize voters.

The official decision regarding the upcoming presidential elections in Poland was announced on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 by the Speaker of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia. The first round of elections will take place on May 18, 2025. Hołownia noted that the dates provided are only “rough”, which means they may change.

Key Dates for the Elections

In the context of organizing the elections, other dates provided by the marshal are also important. Candidates will be able to notify the National Electoral Commission (NEC) of the establishment of a committee by March 24, 2025. In turn, District Electoral Commissions should be established by March 31, and the deadline for submitting candidates is April 4.

Candidates in the Elections

Currently, seven candidates have announced their participation in the presidential elections, including Karol Nawrocki, Rafał Trzaskowski, Szymon Hołownia, Sławomir Mentzen, Magdalena Biejat, Marek Woch and Marek Jakubiak.
