Experienced flower growers and gardeners have been placing garlic cloves in pots with houseplants for many years. Experts say that this procedure is especially beneficial for flowers.

Garlic for houseplants

First of all, garlic contains many antioxidants, organic acids and mineral salts. The soil also absorbs many essential oils. Plants need all of them for active growth and development.

Secondly, you can use ordinary garlic to cleanse the soil of pathogens. Garlic contains allicin, which has antibacterial and antifungal properties.

This homegrown vegetable can also effectively repel flies, spider mites, and many other pests.

You will need 1-2 cloves of garlic for one medium-sized plant. Cut them in half, bury them in the ground, and take them out after a few days to prevent mold. You can also use garlic infusion for watering. Chop a clove of garlic and pour 1 liter of water over it.

Experts suggest how to use regular garlic to improve flowering. Of course, this method sounds very strange – why would you bury garlic cloves in the ground for houseplants?

However, experienced gardeners claim that such a useful and simple tip will help revive even those plants that have not wanted to bloom for a long time. This method is especially important in winter if you want your favorite flowers to bloom.
