A quote from Liliane Hubert's Declaration, upon the arrival of the police

Taken to the station to be questioned, the woman told investigators that the victim, the victim, had come to her house around midnight the day before, and that ;she offered him a game with a knife.

Mr. Drolet refused, but while he was sleeping, a little later, she confirmed that she had stabbed him since at that moment daylight should have stopped.

She will also declare that she tried to give him back his life.

Suffering from schizophrenia, Liliane Hubert has been treated for mental health issues for many years.

Psychiatrist Sébastien Proulx concluded that at the time of the tragedy, she was suffering from a major mental disorder which made her incapable of distinguishing between good and evil.

Judge Guy de Blois therefore declared her not criminally responsible.

At the end of the hearing , the magistrate asked the sixty-year-old if she had any questions.

She wanted to address the victim's family. I never would have thought that something like this would have happened, the woman said.

She says she still has Alexandre in [her ] heart.

Alexandre is no longer there, and it's as if I was no longer there too, added Liliane Hubert, about the man she had known for 10 years when she killed him.

According to the account of the facts, she had a complex, toxic and ambiguous relationship with him.

Drugs are over.

A quote from Liliane Hubert, who spoke at the hearing

After asking for forgiveness from the family of Alexandre Drolet, she assured that she was doing better now, thanks to medication. I'm not dangerous, she said.

The prosecution requested an additional assessment so that Liliane Hubert could be declared a high-risk accused.

His lawyer, Me Gabriel Michaud-Brière, is waiting to see the conclusions of the report before announcing whether he will oppose it.

The case will return to the Court in April to decide this question.
