How to speed up your smartphone and reduce battery consumption: 3 simple steps

Often we don't even realize how active our smartphones are, even when we're not using them. This is due to the fact that some functions of the device continue to work in the background, which leads to the depletion of battery life, and in some cases, endangers the performance of the device.

It often happens that even a few percent of the charge, remaining ones may be decisive. We share our experience on how to make the phone work more economically.

1 Turn off the background operation of applications

Most problems are related to a dozen applications running at the same time. Telegram, Instagram, browser, notes, some game – all together, they load the processor to the limit.

One of the ways to disable background programs on Android is to enter the developer mode, select the menu item “Process Statistics” and find the applications that load the most memory. Stopping these applications will help unload the device.

For iOS, the algorithm is slightly different: you need to go to “Settings”, then to the “General” section and select the “Content update” item. In this menu, you can specify which applications will not be able to load content in the background.

2. Turn off animations and special effects, turn on dark mode

“Live wallpapers” and animations when moving between menu items also affect the phone's performance. By turning them off, you will sacrifice beautiful effects, but you will notice that the device will start working faster.
