How Russian propaganda spreads hatred of the West among Muslims

Russian propaganda actively uses the social network X to spread its own narratives among the Arab population of the Middle East.

The Center for Countering Disinformation reports this on its Telegram channel.

In particular, the Russian Arabic-language account in X «Akhbar rusia alaitihadia» (news of the Russian Federation) regularly spreads the statements of the ideologist «russkogo mira» Alexander Dugin.

Dugin's theses mainly concern the fight against «Western hegemony», define all Muslims who cooperate with democracies as «traitors to Islam» and call for a «resistance movement».

Thus, the Russian Federation is trying to strengthen anti-Western sentiments in the Middle East and «unite» Muslims in the fight against «Russia's main enemy».
