Indexation 2025

Pensioners and pensioners are waiting for information about this year's indexation of their benefits. It is certain that benefits will not increase as spectacularly as in previous years. In 2023, pensions increased by 14.8%. Last year, the indexation rate was 12.12%.

There are two scenarios in play. One of them assumes that the indexation of benefits will amount to 5.8% this year. The second option assumes an increase in benefits by 8.55 percent. Which one will be implemented? We will find out soon.

One of the most important and higher allowances paid to seniors is also subject to indexation. As indicated by the portal „Goniec”, it will soon increase by as much as PLN 1,050.

Honorary benefit higher by over a thousand złoty

Until the end of February, the honorary benefit paid by the Social Insurance Institution amounts to PLN 6,246.13. From March, its amount will be even higher. All due to changes introduced last year. According to the new regulations, the benefit paid to seniors who have turned 100 is now subject to indexation.

As indicated by the portal „Goniec”, some seniors will gain an additional PLN 1,050 from this. This is how much seniors who were awarded an honorary benefit in 2023 in the amount of PLN 5,540.25 will receive.

People who receive a benefit from ZUS after reaching the age of 100 automatically receive an honorary benefit. Those who are not paid any benefits by ZUS must submit an appropriate application.
