The words of the commentator of the ski jumping were heard by all of Poland.

As the “Goniec” portal reminds us, another weekend of ski jumping is behind us. Unfortunately, the Polish jumpers did not impress in Engelberg. However, it was the not-so-good form of the Poles that set the internet on fire, but the words spoken during the broadcast by Igor Błachut, the commentator of the ski jumping. What was it about?

Another weekend of ski jumping is behind us

Last weekend in Engelberg, Switzerland, ski jumpers fought for more World Cup points. Unfortunately, the weather did not make things easier for the ski jumpers. The conditions were quite a lottery, and when it seemed that Piotr Żyła had a chance for a high position after jumping 137 m, the news of his disqualification appeared.

On Saturday, Paweł Wąsek turned out to be the best of the Polish team, who ultimately finished the competition in 11th place. Olek Zniszczoł was 17th, and Kamil Stoch in 18th place. Unfortunately, things were no better in Sunday's competition. Zniszczoł was 14th, Żyła 17th, Wąsek 20th, and Wolny 27th. Stoch did not make it to the second round, however.

After Sunday's competition, the talk was not about the form of Polish ski jumpers, but about the commentary Igor Błachut made during the competition in Engelberg.

The comment set the internet on fire

The organizers of the competitions in Engelberg had to deal with difficult weather conditions. The competition started with a delay, and there were breaks between the jumps. The commentators referred to the messages that appear after the competition. It was then that Błachut uttered the words that everyone is talking about.

“The credibility of these announcements immediately after the competition is as if they came directly from the Prime Minister's Chancellery. Any Chancellery, by the way” – said the commentator, which all viewers could hear.
