Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier shared insider information about GTA VI from Rockstar Games. Rumors about the new game appeared back in 2023, and its debut trailer, released on December 5, 2023, broke YouTube's record for the number of views in the first day.
The main characters of GTA VI will be Jason and Lucia, and Lucia will become the first female protagonist in the series. The plot is rumored to be inspired by the story of Bonnie and Clyde. Characters will have hunger, thirst, and fatigue indicators, and will also be able to carry bodies, crawl, loot, and even shoot underwater.
The game promises a twice as large open world as GTA V. The release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S is expected in the fall of 2025, with a PC version coming later. So far, the release plans have not changed.
