Gojira: big news for French fans of the metal group

It was one of the sensations of the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The band Gojira, already extremely popular with metal lovers, reached a whole new audience thanks to their fiery performance. A tableau on the French Revolution that reminded everyone of this important part of our country. And after this monumental performance, Gojira made an announcement that will delight their fans.

alert, announcement of gojira

Remember. As torrential rains fall on Paris for the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, a painting is revealed on the façade of the Conciergerie, that of the metal group Gojira accompanied by a decapitated Marie-Antoinette and the opera singer Marina Viotti.Although July 26th was marked with a white stone, notably thanks to the memorable performance of the group, Gojira is no longer present.

Formed in 1996 under the name Godzilla and then renamed Gojira in 2001, the group has 7 studio albums, including the latest, Fortitude, ranked in the top of the charts in both Europe and America. An international recognition that warms the heart, for a musical register unfortunately unknown to the general public. But Gojira is also hundreds of concerts all over the world. And in 2025, the number will increase, thanks to a new tour.
