In the far-right party “Alternative for Germany” ; plan to interview their two deputies regarding their probable connections with the pro-Russian influence network, which was exposed last week in Europe.
As representative Daniel Tapp told Bloomberg in a commentary, the leadership of the political force will talk after the Easter holidays with Maximilian Kra, the main the party's candidate in the June elections to the European Parliament, and Bundestag member Petr Bistron.
According to an AfD spokesman, both Kra and Bystron deny any wrongdoing.
Last week German Interior Minister Nancy Feser said the investigation into the influence network dealt an “important blow” on Russian disinformation.
The fact that leading AfD politicians repeatedly appeared on Voice of Europe shows that “Putin's friends have repeatedly allowed themselves to be made part of the Russian propaganda apparatus,” Feser said.
Last week it became known that the Czech Republic had uncovered a pro-Russian network that developed an operation to spread Russian influence and undermine security in Europe.
