Georgia fines journalist from Mtavari TV company

Tbilisi City Court Fines Journalist of TV Company «Mtavari» for 2200 GEL Beka Korshia, detained during a protest on Rustaveli Avenue.

This is reported by the First Channel of Georgia.

The journalist says that he did not expect a fair trial and stated that he had not committed any administrative offenses.

According to him, law enforcement officers had identified him even before his detention. Moreover, law enforcement officers used physical violence against him, writes the First Channel of Georgia.

The prosecution claimed that journalist Beka Korshia did not obey the lawful demand of a police officer.
