From real life. “Mother-in-law let her daughter into the apartment and moved into her husband's apartment”: What she demands from us is beyond me

My husband and I have our own apartments. I inherited them from my parents, who gave them to me when I came of age. My husband, on the other hand, earned the apartment himself.

He started saving when he was a student. Then he got a job at a good company, gradually climbing the career ladder.

He was able to buy an apartment and now has a good position in the company. We had a quiet wedding because we know how to save money and spend it on more useful things, and it's good that we have the same opinion on this matter, we are both economists.

Right now my husband and I live in my apartment because it is closer to the center and it is easier for us to get to work. For a while we rented my husband's apartment until my mother-in-law showed up with her own problems.

To be more precise, it was not my mother-in-law's problems, but her daughter's, my husband's sister Aneta. She got married, but not very successfully. She had nothing behind her, she didn't even have a college degree, and she found a husband who was just like her. It is not known what they were thinking when they got married. But certainly not about their future. They are people of one day — if today is good, there is no need to think about tomorrow.

It turned out that Aneta is now pregnant. They were renting an apartment, but now, because all the money has to go to the child, they do not have enough money to pay the rent. So my mother-in-law put them in her house and moved into my husband's apartment.

Moreover, my mother-in-law demanded that we pay her rent, because she pays rent to her daughter. And with the birth of Aneta's child, my mother-in-law suggested that we share the costs with Aneta's husband.

I didn't understand why we had to support my sister-in-law's family and how long my mother-in-law would live in my husband's apartment. Because we are also a family, we want to have a child and we need money for it. But we can't rent an apartment because of my mother-in-law, who is still exercising her rights.
