From real life. “I never loved you”: A husband once said to his wife

A man once told his wife bluntly: “I never loved you!”

He explained that he married by mistake, that she forced him to do it. He also said many things that hurt her heart.

They had a big fight. Her husband didn't shout or insult her, he just said those words calmly but firmly. After the conflict, they made up and continued living together. The river of life carried them away with their daily worries, parents, children, loans, work and garden. Life went on as usual.

They never returned to that conversation. At first, the wife was shocked by what she heard. Her husband's words hit her, leaving a deep wound. But gradually she got used to the idea. “He doesn't love me? Well, that's my fate.”

She remembered how her mother didn't show her much love when she was a child either. But somehow they lived. And now you can get along even if there's no love. The most important thing is to argue less, avoid arguments, communicate only on business, and be polite. “What can you do if he doesn't love you? You can't force love. You have to live for your children, for stability. You can also live without love. You just have to keep peace and friendship.”

Five years passed. Their relationship was calm, almost carefree. One day, her husband suddenly hugged her and said, “I love you!” The wife was confused. She withdrew a little, as was her habit. She reminded him, “But you said you never loved me. You forgot about that?”

The man laughed and tried to explain, “I was angry, I said things in the heat of the moment. You misunderstood everything! Those were just words spoken in the heat of the moment. I meant something completely different. This is all nonsense, forget it!”

But she wasn't even listening. She simply agreed and nodded to avoid another argument. It was important to her that those words of resentment not be repeated. She was used to living without love. People live like that. Love is not necessary.

The most important thing is to accept everything as it is and continue to live peacefully together. But you don't have to say “I love you” anymore. Such words mean nothing. Love can be killed even with words. It cannot be resurrected. You can only live on. Without love. What do you think about it?
