For the first time in history: two transgender models became the stars of the Victoria’s Secret show

Victoria's Secret show

On the night of October 15-16, after a six-year break, the legendary show from the Victoria's Secret brand returned to the catwalk. “Angels” gathered in New York to arrange a beauty extravaganza.

Two transgender models Valentina Sampaio and Alex Konsani became the stars of the Victoria's Secret show, which was held for the first time in six years in New York.

After all the scandals that befell the Victoria's Secret show, the show became inclusive. However, it remains just as enchanting.

27-year-old Brazilian model Valentina Sampaio was the first transmodel to star in a Victoria's Secret advertising campaign. She started working with the brand in 2019. Now, Sampaio and Alex Consani have become the first trans models to walk the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

Sampio took to the catwalk with a giant bow with six different loops on her backand black set. A mesh skirt with jewels completed the model's look.

Valentina Sampaio

Today, the Victoria's Secret family showed the world that being transgender is just as unique and beautiful as anyone else on the catwalk. Inclusivity is critical to the world we're building, and I'm honored to walk [the catwalk] and hopefully inspire the next generation. Thank you, Victoria's Secret, for making a long-standing dream come true, Sampaio commented on her appearance at the show for People.

A blue set and large matching wings were chosen for Alex Konsani.
