Fired 70mm projectiles: Sarisa SRS-1A missile drone successfully tested

The drone manufactured by the Greek company is equipped with Hydra 70 missiles, which are widely used by NATO troops. These missiles are typically mounted on light ground vehicles or helicopters such as the AH-64 Apache.

The SARISA SRS-1A strike drone successfully passed the second test using 70 mm missiles. The tests were conducted under the control of the armed forces of Greece at the test site of the Main Directorate of Defense Equipment and Investments of the country. This was reported by the press service of SAS Technology on the X social network.

Thales Belgium, a subsidiary of Thales Group, provided support, supplied test ammunition and issued a certificate for the use of SRS-1A with 70 mm missiles.

During the tests, the drone demonstrated its system of adjusting the angle of the launcher, the ability to accurately target even in windy conditions and the reduced effect of the missile exhaust through aerodynamic and mechanical interventions.

SAS Technology is now preparing for operational trials using production models of SARISA UAVs. The armed forces of Greece were informed about the capabilities of this UAV, as well as other systems developed by SAS Technology.

The relevant agencies were invited to participate in the test in operational scenarios close to combat. Among other things, it is about launching guided and unguided missiles to further evaluate the capabilities of the Sarisa UAV.

SARISA heavy drone

SARISA is a heavy multi-rotor UAV developed by the Greek company Spirit Aeronautical Systems S.A.

Sarisa SRS-1R26 — another variant of the Sarisa armed drone. The drone is equipped with an in-flight deployable rack capable of carrying up to four RPG-26 launchers, each equipped with an SFM-26A (shock-trigger). This configuration allows the drone to effectively hit targets from the air at close and medium distances.
