Finland started work on the strategy for the development of quantum technologies

The Ministry of Employment and the Economy of Finland presented a working group that will develop a strategy for the development of quantum technologies to increase the country's competitiveness in the fields of science and business.

The purpose of this strategy is to create "a solid foundation for research, development and use of quantum technologies that will strengthen Finland's competitiveness in the global economy," said Antti Vasara, Director General of the State Institute for Technological Research (VTT), which is leading work on the strategy.

"We want to strengthen the interaction between companies, research institutes and universities both in Finland and internationally", – his words are cited in the department's press release.
