Experts tell you what to do if your smartphone won't connect to Wi-Fi

What to do if your Wi-Fi works but your phone can't connect to it . Wi-Fi doesn't work on your phone, but works on other devices.

Turn off your phone and router , then turn them back on. It sounds too simple, but restarting both devices can fix glitches that were preventing either from working properly.

Make sure your phone is connected to the correct network. Your phone may have automatically connected to an old network that doesn't have internet access.

Make sure your phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network that your devices are connected to your home or office.

Turn off Wi-Fi on your phone for a few minutes. This will refresh your connection and may be your solution. When you turn Wi-Fi back on, make sure your phone is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.

Forget the network and reconnect  to refresh the connection. If Wi-Fi on your phone did not work when you restarted Wi-Fi, try to "forget" network and reconnect as if to a new Wi-Fi network.

If your iOS or Android OS is outdated, you may experience Wi-Fi issues. If an update is available, download and install it.
