Ewa Bem in her first interview after losing her husband. She mentioned her daughter

The year 2023 began for Ewa Bem in a way that certainly changed her life forever.

On January 17, after a long battle with illness, the love of her life passed away – Ryszard Sybilski. This tragedy is another blow in the life of the artist, who lost her daughter, Pamela, almost eight years ago. Despite the enormous pain and grief, Ewa decided to return to the stage and not let the sadness overwhelm her.

A life full of challenges

Ewa Bem is not only a talented singer; she is also a woman who has experienced deep losses. Her husband's death came just after the couple celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. Together they raised the artist's daughter from a previous relationship and the younger Gabriela. In the face of such great tragedies, it is difficult to find meaning and strength to continue.

After the death of her daughter Pamela Bem-Niedziałek in 2017, Ewa withdrew from public life for a long time. It was Ryszard who was her greatest support in the darkest moments. Now, however, she had to face another loss.

A few days after Ryszard's death, Ewa decided to return to performing. Her first performance took place on February 3 at the Warsaw 6th Floor Theater during a closed event. The audience welcomed her warmly, which gave the artist the strength to continue her work.

In an interview with “Dzień Dobry TVN”, Ewa spoke openly about her pain and the difficulties that fate brought her: „I have to say that I am in the crosshairs… Life has been hard on me for a few years”. Despite this, she emphasized the importance of music as a source of solace and support from friends and colleagues.

The Power of Music

Music has always been a form of expression and a way of dealing with emotions for Ewa Bem. As she herself admitted: “Music gives me great solace and meetings with my musicians”. These areas are not only a professional occupation for her, but also therapy – a place where she can share her feelings and experiences.

Despite this internal chaos, the artist manages to maintain a semblance of calm: „What you experience inside is unique… I can camouflage myself a bit”. This sentence shows us Ewa's extraordinary strength and determination to survive difficult moments.

Support from loved ones

Ewa Bem is lucky to be surrounded by people who support her – both family and friends are an important support for her. As she says: “They take care of me like a little child”. Thanks to them, the artist has a chance to face a new reality without Ryszard by her side.

Although the road ahead of her will probably be full of challenges and emotional difficulties, one thing is certain – Ewa Bem does not intend to give up her passion or let sadness take over her life.
